 Survey at school time shows existing capcity on route 63/63 is insufficient, because coming into West Denton from Fenham, Lower Blakelaw and the upper parts of Slatyford, the bus gets full. Even though their is a double decker on the route. This also applies to the number 12 service which follows the same route. This can make the children late for school.The number 7 service is the main link across the area to the Metro centre. The bus is not a low liner, it is usually a high step vehicle, which usually means a 15 inch step to the ground, so people with kids and the elderly have difficulty getting on and off. MIKE RILEY |
