About CSV in the North East




		CSV is a national voluntary organisation and registered charity. It was first set up in 1962 and, since then, its activities have grown and developed so that today, although CSV headquarters are in London, it has bases throughout the country. Its areas of work are varied and include: Education Environment Media Volunteering Training CSV opened an office in Newcastle in 1975. Today staff, volunteers and trainees work together across several different sites that make up CSV Training and Enterprise North East. Our offices are based in Newcastle and Blyth and our services extend across Tyneside, into Durham and throughout Northumberland. Although the projects are varied, they are all linked by certain themes, such as creating opportunities for people to gain new skills and knowledge and to play an active part in their community.
